Discover Sharonville
A City Rich in History
Sharonville’s roots go back to the late 18th century, when settlers began arriving after the American Revolution. The community was originally called Sharon, named after a town in Connecticut, and grew steadily due to its location along major travel routes between Cincinnati and Dayton. In 1911, it was officially incorporated as Sharonville. Historic landmarks include the Alverta Green Museum, housed in an 1891 Victorian home, which preserves the community’s heritage, and the Heritage Village Museum nearby, showcasing 19th-century buildings relocated to preserve their history. Today, Sharonville balances its small-town roots with its role as a thriving Cincinnati suburb, offering both historic character and modern convenience.
